We don't track you. No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no consent banner — because we have nothing to ask you to consent to. The only cookies we set are the strictly necessary ones that let you log in and check out.

The short of it

Most websites greet you with a cookie banner because they're setting trackers that need your consent. We don't, so we don't. This page explains the handful of strictly necessary cookies we do set, and why none of them need a banner.

What cookies we set ourselves

Effectively none of our own beyond what's strictly necessary to run the site. We don't set first-party analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.

impry.me does not deploy first-party analytics, advertising, profiling, or tracking cookies. The only first-party storage used is that strictly necessary to provide the service you have requested, namely session management for cart and checkout, within the meaning of PECR Regulation 6(4).

Cookies our providers set

Two of our service providers set strictly necessary cookies so the core of the site works: Clerk (keeps you logged in) and Stripe (secures checkout and helps prevent fraud). Without these, you literally couldn't sign in or pay.

Authentication is handled by Clerk, which sets strictly necessary cookies to maintain your authenticated session. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, which may set strictly necessary cookies for checkout integrity and fraud prevention. These are essential cookies exempt from the consent requirement under PECR Regulation 6(4) as they are strictly necessary for the provision of a service explicitly requested by the user. Clerk's and Stripe's own cookie practices are governed by their respective privacy and cookie policies.

Analytics

We do measure how many people visit which pages, but we use Vercel Analytics, which is cookieless by design — it doesn't set any cookie or persistent identifier, and it doesn't track individuals. It only tells us things like "the FAQ page got 200 views this week," never who you are.

We use Vercel Analytics for aggregate, non-individual measurement. Vercel Analytics operates without cookies or persistent identifiers and does not process data capable of identifying an individual user. As no personal identifiers are set, this processing falls outside the cookie consent requirements of PECR. See our Privacy Policy for the lawful basis applicable to aggregate analytics.

Managing cookies in your browser

You can clear or block cookies at any time through your browser settings. Be aware that blocking the strictly necessary cookies described above will prevent you from logging in or completing checkout, as those functions depend on them. Because we set no optional cookies, there is nothing else to opt out of.

Under UK law (PECR), a consent banner is required when a site sets cookies that are not strictly necessary — typically analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. We set none of those. Every cookie involved in using impry.me is strictly necessary for a function you've asked for, so no consent is required and no banner is shown. If we ever introduce optional cookies, we'll add a proper consent mechanism first.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use cookies — for example, if we ever introduce analytics or features that require optional cookies — we'll update this page and add a consent mechanism before those cookies are set. We'll update the date at the bottom for any changes.
