framy FAQ

A Framy is a framed magnet: a photo print set inside a border cut from 700gsm cardstock, with a flexible magnetic backing sheet on the reverse. The cardstock border gives a clean, finished frame edge around your print. The magnetic backing adheres to any ferrous surface — fridges, filing cabinets, metal doors — without nails, hooks, or adhesive. There is no glazing, no hanging hardware, and no glass.

A Framy sticks to any ferrous (iron or steel) surface using its magnetic backing. This includes steel refrigerators, filing cabinets, metal lockers, steel shelving, and steel vehicle body panels. To reposition it, just lift and stick elsewhere. It will not adhere to aluminium, glass, wood, plastic, stone, or stainless steel appliances — stainless steel is generally non-magnetic. If you are unsure whether your target surface is ferrous, test it with any small household magnet first.

Framy comes in a single size, shown on the product page. The overall dimensions include the cardstock border around the print. The print area within that border is fitted to your uploaded image's aspect ratio — we will scale and crop your image to fill the print area cleanly.

Framy is designed for indoor use. The cardstock border and photo print are not waterproof — prolonged exposure to moisture, condensation, or direct weather will damage them. For indoor fridge displays, office boards, and home interiors, a Framy is fine. For vehicle use, remove the Framy before going through a car wash.

A Framy is a printed paper product backed with a flexible magnetic sheet. Treat it as you would a photograph: keep it away from moisture, direct sunlight, and sharp objects. The print is not laminated. With normal indoor handling, a Framy will look good for years.
